Why I built Fittro

Fittro started at a kitchen table, planning my parents' new apartment. We kept circling the same questions, will the couch fit? where does everything actually go? And every room planner I reached for got in the way.

Most of them are the same story: clunky, overbuilt, or locked behind a subscription. I wanted the opposite: something free, genuinely simple, and accurate enough to trust. You set the scale once, and every piece of furniture is at its real size. No CAD, no 30-minute tutorial, no paywall to see if a bed fits.

So I built it. Import a photo or sketch of your floor plan, calibrate it against one known measurement, trace your rooms, and lay out furniture that's true to life, right in your browser. If Fittro says it fits, it fits.

Fittro is a labs project from Totavi, LLC, the small software studio I run day-to-day. I build the whole thing, the design, the code, and the occasional 2 a.m. bug fix, and I read every email.
